Ms Precision Cosmetic Tattooing

• Wash your hair the night before or morning of. Dry healing will be requested for the next 10 days after treatment.
• No alcohol or caffeine within 24 hours of the treatment.
•  Avoid blood thinning medications for 48 hrs before your appointment. This includes ibuprofen, aspirin and fish oil tablets. Please consult your doctor if this is an issue. 
• Make sure your face is not sunburnt. 
• Only get brows waxed or tinted for 1- 2 weeks prior to your appointment. 
• If considering Botox, it is best to have your brow tattooing done first. If having Botox before your treatment, please do this at least 2 weeks before your appointment. 
• No skincare products containing retinal, AHA or vitamin A agents for 1 week before treatment
• No workouts or exercise 24 hours before treatment.
• DO bring with you brow inspiration photos to show Ms Precision on the day
• Do arrive with clean skin ready for your treatment
• Please collect your pharmacy bought numbing cream (Nummit or Elma) and bring to your appointment. 

• 1 week before your lip tattoo appointment, speak with your GP or Pharmacist and ask for a dose of antiviral tablets such as Valtrex/Lysine even if you have never experienced coldsores outbreak. This is to minimise any risk of an outbreak. Be sure to take your tablet daily leading up to the appointment and 4 days after. This is a preventative only.
• 1 week before the appointment, apply lip balm daily and scrub your lips gently with an exfoliant (sugar in cleanser) twice a week.

• No cosmetic injections on or around your lips areas for at least 2 weeks before treatment
• No workouts or exercise 24 hours before treatment.
• Do arrive with clean skin ready for your treatment
• Do bring with you lip colour inspiration photos to show Ms Precision on the day.
• Please collect your pharmacy bought numbing cream (Nummit or Elma) APPLY to your Lips 1 Hour before your Lip Blush appointment and bring the numbing to the appointment.

• Dab your tattoo every hour or as often as possible for the first day of treatment, to absorb/reduce excess lymph fluid. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymphatic fluids reducing scab build up. 
• Apply aftercare balm supplied by Ms Precision lightly morning and night for 7 days.
• Keep your tattoo as dry as possible for the first 10 days
• Apply your aftercare lightly morning and night for 7 days
• Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for the first 5 days 
• Avoid submerging your face in the shower for the first 7 days
• Avoid makeup near your brows for the first 7 days 
• Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 7 days
• Do not put skincare, makeup or sunscreen on your brows for the first 7 days. 
• Try and stay out of the sun or wear a hat for sun protection instead
• Avoid face-down swimming and hot tubs for the first 14 days
• Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks
• No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 3 weeks
• Do not rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin exfoliate away naturally. Picking can cause scarring or loss of colour

The first few days after your appointment are crucial to how well your lips will heal and look long-term. The healing process usually takes around 10 days, so please note that tattooed lips after a week still need to be properly cared for and treated hygienically. Following these guidelines will help your lips to heal in a way that reduces loss of ink and maximises how long you can rock your beautiful new lip blush before needing a touch-up.

• Apply Ms Precision supplied aftercare hourly or as required to avoid drying for around 10 days.
• Apply ice as required or desired the day of treatment to reduce any swelling and for your comfort.
• With a damp cotton round  it is important to dab your lips every hour for the first day of treatment to reduce lymph weeping buildup. 
• Avoid hot/spicy food or drink for a few days following the treatment. The skin is open and it will hurt. Use a straw.
• I suggest sleeping propped up for the night as this assists reducing any swelling overnight.
• No picking, licking or touching. Picking will cause loss of colour. Your flakes will gently fall off by themselves when they are ready to. Keep conscious of reducing germs for the first 48 hours.
• No lip filler until 4 weeks after your treatment.
• Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for up to 7 days. You can lightly exercise, but nothing that will cause overexertion or extreme sweating. 
• Avoid Pools and Saunas for 2 weeks.
• Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning for 4 weeks after procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors. Any prolonged sun exposure will cause premature fading.
• Avoid taking long hot showers in the first week.
• Avoid applying any type of makeup to your lips for up to 3 weeks.
